Netflix Casts Perfect Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3
Baroque Works is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed recently that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Bentham. The role can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that role reimagined as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, as in the initial comic and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside several other new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, featuring head Sir Crocodile, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Though Bon Clay is a important part of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Given season 2 set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this signals a major departure in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. Along with their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
