The New Animated Series' Introductory Sequence Chose the Incorrect Popular RPG Show Track

The Mighty Nein, the most recent animated series by the beloved role-playing group, unveiled a new introductory sequence. It features the beloved cast of misfits, misfits, and rogues kicking ass and making their mark, while also hinting at several heart-wrenching backstories for characters including the voice actor's wizard Caleb, and Travis Willingham's orc warlock, the character Fjord.

All in all, the opening appears stunning. But I couldn't help feeling that something was missing in the music selection.

This sequence employs "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional song created by producer and singer Colm McGuinness. This piece from the soundtrack album of the same name, the second release put out by the production company's record label their music brand. It's a great sentimental option, and I believe that devotees of the sequel series will appreciate its inclusion.

But for me, The series' intro doesn't quite capture the excitement and energy that accompanied the show's live-play sessions. "Your Turn to Roll", composed by musician the artist, became an immediate hit in my view when it was first revealed in 2015, and it improved further when cast member Sam Riegel wrote words to the tune for the series' animated intro in the later year.

Featuring vocals from Ashley Johnson, another performer, Travis Willingham, as well as the writer, the song was memorable and enjoyable. At the time, I hadn't even watched the second campaign yet, but it was so infectious that I kept it on my phone. This track that knows how to get you pumped before you start an installment of adventurous fun.

The show's intro with "the new song" fails to hit the right notes in my opinion. It's a grand piece of music, but from what I know of this party, I feel that its mood is a little off.

Of course, the creators has already said that the animated show will have a few surprises and differences from the actual-play campaign. An adjusted mood for its intro appears as one of them.

The Mighty Nein will be released on Prime Video from November 19. If you can't wait until then, or wish to prepare to get to know the personas of the second series, the actual play are available on Spotify and YouTube.
