White House Decries 'Democratic Hoax' as Additional Epstein Estate Images Released
House Democrats have released a additional set of what they described as "alarming" pictures from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 imagesāsome of which have been previously circulatedāplus another 70 issued later on Friday account for a minuscule portion of the approximately 100,000 images handed over to the House investigative panel, which is examining the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking crimes.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Included in the high-profile individuals seen in the initial batch are public figures featuring film director Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Reaction
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the photographs for electoral motives and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative said, asserting that "the Trump administration has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for transparency, disclosing thousands of pages of records, and demanding further investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Congressional Democrat Statement
The photographs were released lacking captions, but as stated by a California Democrat and senior member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House obfuscation and secure justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a release.
The publication of these documents coincides with the oversight committee proceeding with its inquiry into the affair.
